HSH Prince Constantin of Liechtenstein
CEO – Foundation Prince Liechtenstein

In 2012, Prince Constantin v. Liechtenstein was appointed CEO of the Foundation Prince Liechtenstein, the agriculture, forestry and real estate division of the Liechtenstein family. Prince Constantin is also Chairman of RiceTec AG, sits on the advisory board of LGT Austria, represents the family on the investment committee of the private equity firm L-GAM, and is a member of the advisory board of Grünwald Equity.

Until 2011, Prince Constantin was Managing Partner of Grünwald Equity Beteiligungs GmbH, a private equity firm that invests in medium-sized companies in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Before this, he worked for Raiffeisen Private Equity Management AG (RPEM) and the US investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman in a variety of functions. Prince Constantin has a Master's degree in law from the University of Salzburg.

 

 

prof. Ing. Danuše Nerudová, Ph.D.

Mendel University in Brno

Danuše Nerudová, the Rector of Mendel University in Brno is a Czech economist and college educationalist. In her scientific work, she is specialised in tax issues and tax policy of the European Union. As Rector of Mendel University in Brno, she holds the view that climate change presents many current problems and the university must take them as a challenge and respond effectively.

Danuše Nerudová has worked at the university since the time of her studies of Economic Policy and Administration. Since September 2007, she has been working as head of the Institute of Accounting and Taxation at PEF MENDELU. She also participated in the management of the faculty as a Vice-Dean and Vice-Rector.

 

 

prof. Dr. Ing. Libor Jankovský

Mendel University in Brno

Libor Jankovský is the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology Mendel University in Brno since 2018. He is also a full-time professor of the Forest Protection at the Mendel University in Brno since 2012 and forensic expert in the field of the nature protection specializing in the Tree Pathology. He specializes in the Forest Pathology and Forest Protection with focus on the Foliage, shoot and stem diseases, wood-destroying fungi and diseases of woody plants in the urban areas.

Prof Jankovský is actively involved in the European as well as national research and innovation projects and holds regular training for foresters, forest owners and State Phytosanitary Administration focused on the invasive alien species and diseases, wood fungus diseases of trees and Mycology. Prof Jankovský is also an active member of several editorial boards.

 

 

FDir. Dipl. Ing. Dr. Kurt Ramskogler
Member of the LIECO advisory board
Kurt Ramskogler is a member of the LIECO advisory board since 2019. He is also the Chairman of PEFC-Austria since 2018 and President of the BIOSA Biosphäre Austria since 2019, member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Austrian Federal Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscape since 2006 appointed by the Federal Minister for Sustainability and Tourism.

Prior these engagements Kurt Ramskogler was managing director of the containerized forest seedlings producer LIECO GmbH & Co KG (1997 – 2018), managing director of the Liechtenstein Energie (1993 – 2013), managing director of the Liechtenstein Säge and General Manager of the Forst Kalwang. Kurt RAMSKOGLER completed his education at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and graduated to Doctor of Forest Science in 1986.

 

 

Dr Thomas Jung
Phytophthora Research Centre Mendel University in Brno

Thomas Jung has more than 20 years of experience in plant pathology and is one of the most renowned Phytophthora experts in the world. He studies the diversity, ecology, pathogenicity and evolution of Phytophthora species, their impacts on natural and semi-natural ecosystems, their pathways and possible management and control options for Phytophthora diseases. Thomas Jung cooperates with many international research groups and conducts or conducted research in Europe, in Australia, in North and South America, in Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Prior his engagement at the university, Thomas Jung worked at the Technical University of Munich, the Bavarian State Institute of Forestry, the Murdoch University, Australia, the University of Extremadura (Spain), and the University of Algarve (Portugal). He received the Arnold-Sommerfeld Award of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences.

 

 

Ing. Tomáš Pospíšil

Department of Forest and Wood Products Economics and Policy Mendel University in Brno

Tomáš Pospíšil is the Acting Head of the Department of Forest and Wood Products Economics and Policy at the Mendel University in Brno since 2019. In 2018, he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Forest and Water Supply Management subsequently at the Czech Republic State Forest Enterprise. As director Tomáš Pospíšil managed Regional Head Office in Šumperk the Czech Republic State Forest Enterprise from 2014 to 2017. He worked as Deputy Regional Head Office Director in Šumperk and Manager of the Forest Management Unit in Loučná nad Desnou at the Czech Republic State Forest Enterprise from 1998 to 2014. Tomáš Pospíšil is an active member of the Czech Society of Ornithology and the Pro Silva Bohemica. Tomáš Pospíšil completed a master in Forest Engineering in 1997.

 

 

Associate Professor Tomáš Vrška
Director of the Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny

Tomáš Vrška is the director of the Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny (TFE) since April 2019. TFE is an organizational part of the Mendel University in Brno and manages over 10,000 hectares of forest. The main task of the TFE is to create conditions for the implementation of educational and research tasks of the university and to create exemplary examples of multifunctional forest management.

Prior engagement at the TFE, Tomáš Vrška was the Head of the Department of the Forest Ecology Silva Tarouca Research Institute for Landscape and Ornamental Gardening. He was also a member of the academic staff at the Department of Silviculture Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology Mendel University in Brno. He obtained his habilitation in the field of Silviculture in 2010. In the past, he was the Head of the Department of the Forest Management Podyjí National Park.

 

 

ÖKR Dipl.Ing. Felix Montecuccoli
President of Land&Forst Betriebe, Austria

Felix Montecuccoli is President of Land&Forst Betriebe Austria (Association of Austrian Land and Forest Owners) since 2005. He is also board member of ELO (European landowners organization) since 2002 and board member of CEPF (Corporation of European private forest owners) since 2010. Furthermore, he holds Board positions in the Austrian Chamber of Agriculture and in the insurance industry and manages the family estate since 1998.

Felix Montecuccoli is currently dedicating his work to the implementation of carbon markets, and the role of plantation and natural forests including respective systems of certification for sustainable forestry, and the connection of international timber markets.

 

 

Associate Professor Ivo Machar
Faculty of Science, Palacký University Olomouc
Ivo Machar is a member of the academic staff of the Palacký University in Olomouc since 2006. He graduated in the Forest Engineering, in 2001 he completed his doctoral degree in the Ecology and in 2010 he habilitated in the Forest Ecology at the Mendel University in Brno. He has participated in many national and international projects in the field of ecology, landscape ecology, nature conservation.

Prior engagement at the university, Ivo Machar was the Director of the Administration at the Protected Landscape Area Litovelské Pomoraví. He also worked in the State Forest Enterprise Prostejov and the National Heritage Institute in Olomouc.

 

 

Dipl.Ing. Hans Jörg Damm
Foundation Prince Liechtenstein
Hans Jörg Damm is managing director of the Foundation Prince Liechtenstein, Agricultural and Forestry company in Wilfersdorf. He has been working for the Foundation Prince Liechtenstein for more than 30 years. Foundation manages 3 000 hectares of arable land and 3 600 hectares of forests. It also focuses on various other activities such as hunting, fishery, renewable energies like windmills and photovoltaics. It is also active in nature protection and biodiversity and manages Nature Park Sparbach.

Hans Jörg Damm has a degree in forestry from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU). He finished postgraduate studies in an economy at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
